Fort Bend ISD students participate in 2019 Lone Star Leadership Academy Camps (8/7/2019)

FORT BEND ISD (August 7, 2019) – This summer, 29 Fort Bend ISD students were among the more than 1,000 students to participate in Lone Star Leadership Academy Camps, presented by Education in Action. The students, in fourth- to eighth-grade, spent their weeklong camp experience at one of three sites: Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin/San Antonio, or Houston/Galveston. At each site, students visited historical and cultural attractions and met with professionals to learn more about careers.

In addition to the site visits, students participated in exercises designed to stimulate their creativity, engage their problem-solving skills and practice their collaboration and communication.
