Fort Bend ISD’s annual Pass-In-Review to highlight District’s JROTC cadets (4/15/2019)
Joint activity relieves senior cadets of duty while reviewing skills of underclassmen
FORT BEND ISD (April 15, 2019) – On Tuesday, April 30, Fort Bend ISD will host its annual Pass-In-Review to showcase the District’s Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) cadets, and recognize graduating senior cadets. The joint activity will feature JROTC cadets from each of the District’s 11 high schools as they demonstrate citizenship and character development, patriotism, leadership, team work and discipline. The event will take place at Mercer Stadium (16403 Lexington Blvd., Sugar Land, 77479), beginning at 7 p.m.
The event will include drills from more than 1,000 cadets representing all FBISD high school JROTC programs, playing of the four service hymns, the National Anthem, and Taps in honor of military personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice in serving our country.
The order of march will be as follows:
Dr. Charles Dupre, FBISD Superintendent of Schools, will serve as the keynote speaker and reviewing officer for the prestigious event. By order of Dr. Dupre, all graduating senior cadets will be relieved of their official duties to serve as reviewing officers for their final Pass-In-Review.
Principal Leonard Brogan, Ridge Point High School, will serve as the program announcer. The Travis High School band will provide a musical performance.
Don't miss this opportunity to witness our District JROTC cadets at their finest moment. Visitors are asked to park on the home side of the stadium. In case of inclement weather, the event will be canceled.
