Fort Bend ISD hosts annual Partnerships Appreciation Breakfast honoring campus supporters (2/7/2019)
FORT BEND ISD (February 7, 2019) – Fort Bend ISD’s Collaborative Communities Department hosted its 2019 Partnerships Appreciation Breakfast to thank individuals who generously give of their time and resources to support our students and staff year after year. The partners represent the many business, community and interfaith groups that work jointly with FBISD schools, providing wraparound services to help the District develop our young people.
FBISD campus principals, along with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Charles Dupre and the Collaborative Communities team – Director Pamela Shaw, Coordinator Tyenise Blackmon and Executive Assistant Reba Cook – were present to welcome and celebrate District partners. Assistant Director of Enriched Learning Opportunities Dexter McCoy shared how partnership efforts support FBISD’s Profile of a Graduate, and members of the Austin High School Choir, directed by Adrian Rodriguez, provided a spectacular performance.
“In every school in Fort Bend ISD, we have partners who are teaching our students everything from financial literacy and character to what it looks like to be a strong man or strong woman,” said Dr. Dupre.
“All of our partners have different life experiences, but the one thing they have in common is a willingness to volunteer their time and resources and share their talents and skills with our students. And we could not be more thankful!” said Shaw.
