FBISD students named winners in Fire Prevention Poster Contest (12/5/2018)

FORT BEND ISD (December 5, 2018) – Congratulations to 12 Fort Bend ISD students who were named winners in this year’s Fire Prevention Poster Contest. The Houston Fire Museum sponsors the contest each year, inviting students in grades K-12 to submit posters that depict important aspects of fire safety. The FBISD students are among 53 students throughout the Greater Houston area honored this year.


FBISD contest winners include:

  • Reese Chen, 3rd place, Highlands Elementary
  • Brayan Cleveland, honorable mention, Highlands Elementary
  • Natalie Crespo, 3rd place, Armstrong Elementary
  • Gwen Cruz-Wei, honorable mention, Colony Bend Elementary
  • Saja Fleek, 1st place, Scanlan Oaks Elementary
  • Ivan Majano, 2nd place, Armstrong Elementary
  • Emily Renteria, 2nd place, Willowridge High School
  • Janela Rivas, 3rd place, Willowridge High School
  • Sophia Schnieders, 3rd place, Scanlan Oaks Elementary
  • Cole Skakun, 3rd place, Scanlan Oaks Elementary
  • Joshua Todd, honorable mention, Armstrong Elementary
  • Dillon Wilson, 3rd place, Armstrong Elementary


The students’ art teachers include Katie Komos (Armstrong), Pricilla Pietz (Colony Bend), Suzanne Miller (Highlands), Jennifer Silva (Scanlan Oaks) and Lloyd Wade (Willowridge). Congratulations to all!
