Narietha Carter-McClain named finalist for the 2018 HCC Teaching Excellence Award (12/3/2018)
FORT BEND ISD (December 3, 2018) – Congratulations to Narietha Carter-McClain, College and Career Readiness Advisor at Elkins High School, on being selected as one of three finalists for the 2018 Houston Community College Teaching Excellence Award. The award is especially valuable because only HCC students receive the opportunity to be a part of the nomination process. More than 350 HCC faculty received nominations for the award. Carter-McClain is an adjunct professor at the HCC Southwest campus and teaches dual-credit government classes for FBISD. As a finalist, she received a certificate and a $500 cash prize during an awards ceremony.
