FBISD Small Business Enterprise Coordinator recognized as Advocate of the Year by Greater Houston Business Procurement Forum Committee (12/18/2017)
FORT BEND ISD (December 18, 2017) – Congratulations to FBISD Small Business Enterprise Coordinator Jeanette Boleware. She was recently recognized by The Greater Houston Business Procurement Forum Committee with the R. A. Wiltz Minority Business Advocate of the Year Award. Boleware was honored because of her contributions to the minority business community in the Houston area.
Boleware spearheads the District’s Small Business Enterprise Program, which was adopted by the Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees following voter approval of the $484 million bond program. The program, which is for construction projects that are $50,000 or greater, requires prime contractors to use “Good Faith Efforts” to hire certified small businesses as subcontractors.
Workshops are held each month for those who are interested in partnering with FBISD. To find out when the next workshop is, or for more information on the program, visit the Small Business Enterprise webpage. You can also call Jeanette Boleware at 281-327-7697.
