Fort Bend ISD thanks parents, business and community members during Public School Volunteer Week, April 17-21 (4/17/2017)

FORT BEND ISD (April 17, 2017) –  April 17-21 is Public School Volunteer Week, dedicated to honoring all of the many business and community volunteers for their many contributions that help enrich student learning and success. Fort Bend ISD is honored to recognize the dedicated individuals who give generously of their time, talents and resources to ensure that our students succeed.

FBISD volunteers serve as mentors, tutors, classroom readers, event presenters/speakers, chaperones, club leaders, classroom helpers, team coaches, and in countless other ways. No matter what area you choose to serve, we thank you!

“As a district, we cannot do it alone. We need the help of dedicated parents, business and community members to come alongside our schools and volunteer their time and talents to ensure student success,” said Pamela Shaw, Director of Parent and Community Engagement. “We are fortunate in Fort Bend ISD to have so many dedicated volunteers, who are changing lives forever.”
