For the two early dismissal days in December, Baines Middle School students will not be allowed to bring a backpack to school.
These are some reminders for next week.
We will be on a modified schedule next week Tuesday-Friday so our high school credit classes can take their final exams.
Thursday and Friday are early release days and students will not be allowed to bring any backpacks.
Students may bring a lunch kit and their laptop/charger in a pocketless tote bag, drawstring bag, or plastic bag. Any bag brought to school will be searched upon entry into and any backpacks accidentally brought to school will be collected. Collected backpacks can be picked up from the same location at the end of the day. The purpose of this is to ensure students are not bringing distracting items to school during our final exam week.
In our cafeteria, there will only be two options from the cafeteria on early release days. Packing a sack lunch is encouraged. For any students who need to purchase a lunch, we will start by calling down any students in high school credit classes at 11am to be escorted to the commons. Then, we will dismiss students by classroom pods to be escorted to the cafeteria
If for some reason you need to be picked up early on December 18 or 19th, early pick up will end at 12:45pm.
Winter Break will begin on Monday, December 22nd. Students will return to school on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
