FSMS Art Students Donate Handmade Scarves to Senior Center
The art students at Fort Settlement Middle School recently worked on a project making winter scarves on a knitting loom. They learned how to knit the garter stitch and how to cast their scarf on and off the loom. They thoroughly enjoyed the project and wanted to share the joy of making a scarf for a member of our community. Many students decided to create extra scarves to donate to the Mamie George Community center. Students created 61 scarves to be donated to senior citizens, with the hope of making everyone feel cozy and cared for during the holiday season.
Thank you to these students for their hard work and committment to helping out in their community.
