For the 31st consecutive year, the Fort Bend Education Foundation has awarded grants to support Fort Bend ISD teachers and schools! During the annual Grant Awards program, held May 9 at Kempner High School, the Education Foundation presented Fort Bend ISD with a check for $769,574. That amount includes:
- $546,129 to fund 271 grants through the Grants to Teachers and Schools program,
- $21,651 for 300 New Teacher Gifts,
- $65,000 to support Professional Development opportunities,
- $121,294 in Pass-through Grants, and
- $15,500 to support the Be a Bright Light for Homeless Students campaign.
Since its inception, the Education Foundation has awarded more than $36 million in grants to FBISD teachers and schools, providing opportunities to enrich and enhance the quality of education for all FBISD students.
