We thank you for your patience as we continue to get various aspects of the year moving, including the organization and distribution of At-Home Learning Kits. This has been a labor-intensive endeavor, and the two days that FBISD was closed increased our challenge to get them ready for distribution. Nonetheless, our awesome team of professionals at SLMS has come through for you, and we will begin distribution of these items, according to the schedule below.
At-Home Learning Kits are a set of instructional materials and/or tools that students will use to engage in Online Learning remotely. These kits may include lesson tools, manipulatives, consumable textbooks, an/or content-specific supplies (will vary by content area and grade level). The instructional materials included in these kits eliminate the need for students and/or parents to print commonly used resources or tools for online lessons. The items marked with an asterisk (*) will need to return to campus with students when we return to face-to-face instruction at some point in the future.
At-Home Learning Kits consist of the following items:
*Consumable ELA Textbook – My Perspectives
*Consumable Math Textbook – GoMath!
*Consumable Science Textbook – ScienceFusion
A packet of documents, manipulatives, and tools—specific to course and grade level—to help students during online learning
*SLMS Student Planner (only if not received during the New Student Welcome Parade on August 14)
Pre-Paid School Supplies purchased online in the spring from the PTO (does not apply to everyone)
