Dulles Academic Decathlon STATE CHAMPS!!!

Dulles Academic Decathlon had a pretty awesome spring break this year! The team won our 3rd straight 6A title and our first overall state title since 1987! The team is now the best in Texas history, smashing the Texas record with a team score of 53,202.2 which is also the 14th highest team score in United States Academic Decathlon history! In addition, the team tied for 1st place Team Super Quiz and scored seven perfect 1000s as well as a bunch of medals in the individual events. I’m also thrilled to announce that our own Andrew Hartman was named 2019 Coach of the Year! Our next stop is USAD Nationals in Bloomington, Minneapolis next month!

Please congratulate this amazing group of Vikings! If you don’t have them in class, feel free to stop by B209 during Power Hour!

Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this happen! Especially our wonderful custodial staff who put up with our late afternoons and Saturday practices!
