Hello FBISD Community,
It is hard to believe the semester is already more than halfway over! As we move through the fall, I want to take a moment to celebrate the progress we’ve made and share important updates about where we’re headed.
Monitoring Student Achievement: Where We Stand
At Monday’s Board meeting, district leaders presented an update on this year’s Beginning-of-Year (BOY) student achievement data. These early performance benchmarks give us valuable insight into how our students are starting the year academically.
Overall, I am very pleased with the data. The results show we are well-positioned for continued growth, and they provide clear action points to guide our next steps. Moving forward, we will work closely with campus leaders to help them understand their data and use it to drive instructional improvements on their campuses.
Ensuring All Students Reach Their Full Potential
District leaders also provided an update on our Special Education program, reaffirming our commitment to ensuring every student can reach their full potential. Our staff continue their work to evaluate students to ensure they receive the resources they need to meet their unique needs.
They also discussed some of the unique programming we offer including but not limited to a new physical education program that pairs students with disabilities with their general education peers and adult transition services.

Investing in Infrastructure and Security
The Board also approved several major infrastructure and security investments that will help us ensure our facilities remain well-maintained and ready to support student learning every day.
These include:
- Districtwide network security services
- Generator preventive maintenance support
- Districtwide pressure-washing, pool chemical and equipment services
Planning for the Future
