Gifted and Talented referral window opens for new and recently-enrolled FBISD students
Online referrals accepted through January 29, testing to occur in February
FORT BEND ISD (January 3, 2017) - Referrals for Spring 2017 Gifted and Talented (GT) evaluation are currently being accepted for students who were not enrolled in FBISD during the annual fall identification process.
Students who enrolled in FBISD after September 29, 2016, and students who reside in the District attendance zone but attend private school or are home schooled are eligible for evaluation. Parents have from January 2 until January 29, 2017 to refer their student for testing, which must be done online through the referral website. This service is provided to private and home school students as a courtesy to our community and is not required by the State of Texas.
Students referred for spring testing must be entering first grade or above in the 2017-2018 school year. Those not yet enrolled in the District will need to provide residency documents to the Advanced Academics Department, located at the FBISD Administration Building (16431 Lexington Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479) before the close of the referral window. Testing will occur Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Quail Valley Middle School.
