Clements High School Theater Students Qualify for UIL State Finals (4/12/21)

Fort Bend ISD (April 12, 2021) – Seven Clements High School theater students will compete in the UIL Theatrical Design State Finals in early May, after qualifying earlier this semester. Armaan Agnite will advance for his individual set design, Isabella Marino and Pradanya Subramanyan will both advance for their individual marketing designs. In addition, Clements High School is one of only eight state finalists in the competitive group design category. Team members include Alexa Fusco, John Heeke, Sofie Marino and Kaitlyn Millikin.

About the Theatrical Design Contest

The Theatrical Design Contest judges the design of the production, not the actual execution. Each year, a play is chosen for students to design an element of a fictitious production of the play. This year’s play was Man of La Mancha by Dale Wasserman. Design categories include scene design, costume design, hair and makeup design and theater marketing.

More than 600 entries were submitted from schools throughout the state. Additional information may be found at https://www.uiltexas.org/theatre/theatrical-design.
