Long Pham was named the Chief Information Officer
for Fort Bend ISD in 2013. Pham is a proven leader with more than 25 years of
Information Technology management and technical experience in private and
non-profit organizations. Previously, Pham served as Director of Information
Technology & Services for the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
for seven years, where he led a department of 200 staff members and 40
contractors in providing IT services to 18,000 employees. Before joining MD
Anderson, Pham was the assistant director of Network Services at Rice
University, and during his career has worked in the technology field for many
business sectors that allowed him to travel and visit seven countries and 34
Pham earned a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications
Engineering at Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Science degree
in Electrical Engineering at University of Texas at Austin.
He has been very active in the local community for more than 22
years. He serves as an assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 38 and enjoys
coaching chess, swimming, soccer, and basketball for the local community teams.
He and his wife, Hà, have one son currently attending a Fort Bend ISD school
and two sons who are FBISD graduates.
