Hello Explorers families! I am honored to be a part of Settlers Way Elementary.
This is my 6th year with FBISD and my 2nd year at SWE. I got my start in education while working with young children ages 0-3 with disabilities. Before coming to FBISD, I was a business owner in the community and an early childhood educator. I have 3 children of my own. My oldest daughter is a graduate of Austin High School. My second daughter is a senior at Austin High School. My "baby" boy is entering 9th grade at Ridge Point High School. They keep me busy!
I am a graduate of Baylor University. My time there was such a blessing to my life. I earned a degree in Child and Family Studies. Upon graduation I began working in an early childhood intervention program. I earned my teaching certificate through Region IV's alternative certification program. I am certified in the areas of EC-6 general education and EC-12 special education. I am currently a graduate student seeking a masters in special education from Lamar University.
I am excited to be a part of the FBISD team and look forward to watching your child progress.
