After graduating from college with a degree in Materials Engineering, I worked for a number of years as an engineer for a major oil company and left that position to spend time at home with my children. I then decided on a career change and completed requirements for a teaching certificate. I am fortunate to have only taught at Dulles High School and have been here since the 2002-2003 school year. Since that time I have taught IPC, Advanced Chemistry, preAP Chemistry, and AP Chemistry.
I am currently teaching preAP Chemistry and AP Chemistry. I also act as the cosponsor (with Dr. Poche) of the Science National Honor Society.
I am married to an engineer (with that same major oil company) and we have two sons who graduated from Clements and the University of Texas. They are now both software development engineers working in the Seattle area.
