Welcome to 4th grade Sienna Crossing Navigators! My name is Nancy Ferrara, and I am a proud member of the 4th grade ELA team. I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Elementary Education. A year later, I completed a Master’s degree specializing in Educational Technology. After that I went on to teach 4th grade in the state of Florida. During this time, I also attended Florida Atlantic University, and in 2006 I graduated with a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership.
During the next phase of my life, I took a break in my teaching career to attend to other important work. I became the mother of a beautiful girl named Ava in 2006, and shortly thereafter our little family relocated from Fort Lauderdale to Houston. Two and half years later, my husband and I welcomed our son, Alex, into the world.
When my children began pre-school, I enjoyed four beautiful years as a pre-school teacher at a local church-based program. As my own children grew older, I was ready to go back to work full-time at our home school district, FBISD. I am a highly qualified teacher, and this is my fourth year teaching in Sienna Plantation.
Dance has also always been a big part of my life. In the evenings I teach ballet, tap, and jazz at a local dance studio in Missouri City. My life if rich and full of experiences, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
