It is an honor to be teaching at Anne Sullivan Elementary School! This is my tenth year as an educator in Fort Bend ISD. I have taught second grade for the past 6 years. Before teaching 2nd grade I taught third, and fourth grade math and science. I love making a positive impact in students' lives and teaching them to take charge of their learning! I am GT and ESL certified and I strive to meet the needs of all learners.
I was born in Houston, Texas. I grew up in Sugar Land, and Missouri City. I attended Fort Bend ISD schools, and I am a graduate of Elkins High School. Go Knights! I attended The University of Houston - Downtown and obtained a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree from the Department of Urban Education.
In my spare time I help my husband Jacob run his concrete demolition company. Working with him has allowed me to see amazingly engineered buildings and parks in the City of Houston. We have a five year old daughter named Ludmila, and we have a two year old daughter named Eva Theresa. They keep us very busy.
I enjoy going to musicals and plays, and I also like sewing clothes for my girls. I get excited when I have an opportunity to dress up and be fancy or silly. We live in the countryside, but we try to find time to attend functions at various parks and museums in the city with our family. I enjoy bringing things I have learned from my adventures to extend the learning in my classroom.
