I’ve known I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I often reminisce on the times when I would line my dolls up in my room or recruit family and friends to “play school!” My passion for teaching motivated me to attended Sam Houston State University where I earned my teaching degree in 2010. Shortly after graduating, I began my teaching career in Fort Bend ISD at Cornerstone Elementary (kindergarten). The following year, I moved to Oakland Elementary where I taught 2nd grade for 6 years.
I live in Richmond, Texas with my husband, Kenyatta. We have a sweet shih tuz, Bailey. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, crafting, cooking, and getting lost in a good book!
I am so happy to be a part of the Longhorn family and teach at this beautiful campus. I look forward to helping students develop a passion for learning. I can't wait to watch them grow as they discover new things.
