Welcome to first grade! I'm very excited to have your child in my classroom this year. Here is a little about myself. I’ve known I wanted to be a teacher since I was a child. I was born in Houston, Texas. I grew up in Houston, Sugar Land, and New Orleans. I graduated from Kempner High School. When it was time to choose a college, I wanted to go where my favorite teacher went which led me to Stephen F. Austin State University. I graduated from SFA in 1995. I earned my teaching degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.
I live in Richmond, Texas and I am married to Jonathan Levin. We have two beautiful girls, Lynna and Lillie. Lynna is will be sophomore at Stephen F. Austin State University and Lillie will be a sophomore at Travis High School. We have 2 adorable pups, Oreo and Casper. We also have a bunny named Toro as well as a fish named Flash. My daughter, Lillie, loves animals.
I love teaching 1st graders! I taught 3 years in private school before entering the public school world. I taught 6 years at Taylor Ray Elementary in Lamar CISD. I taught 2 years at Highlands Elementary in Fort Bend. I helped open Oakland Elementary 11 years ago. I am excited to start my third year here at Neill.
My motto is to "Reach for the moon because even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."
