My name is Natalie Biddle and I am a 5th grade math teacher at Barbara Jordan Elementary. How fortunate I am to have the opportunity to work with children in the school district of which I am a product! I attended Barrington Place Elementary, Sugar Land Middle, and I graduated from Kempner High School in 2007. I enrolled at the University of Texas-Austin in the fall of 2007 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development (Education-Grades EC-6 and ESL certification) in December 2010. I immediately accepted a long-term substitute teacher position with the Austin Independent School District. In August 2011, I was hired by Harmony Public Schools as a third grade teacher. In June 2012, I accepted a position here at Barbara Jordan Elementary in fourth grade. I am excited to now be a 5th grade teacher at BJE! I am GT trained and graduated from The University of Houston-Victoria in May 2014 with a Masters in School Counseling. I love to work with children, which adds to the excitement I have about the great activities and events planned for this year’s fifth grade students!
I am ecstatic about this school year in the best district in Texas! I believe that every child has the right to learn and to succeed at his or her highest potential; therefore, I have high expectations for all my students and I am confident that each of them will not only meet those expectations, but also exceed them! I believe that “A teacher affects eternity; she/he can never tell where her/his influence stops.” - Henry Brooks Adams
5th grade is going to be an amazing and very memorable year!
