This year marks my 27th year as an educator. I successfully taught 3rd grade for 3 ½ years at Hearne Elementary school in Alief ISD. I also worked in the Houston ISD for 16 years as a teacher (R.P. Harris Elementary and W.S. Holland Middle School), a staff trainer, a middle school safety coordinator, and after school program coordinator. I am skilled in the specific areas of teaching, coordinating, character training, and staff development. My excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as my adaptability allow me to contribute to the overall success of Barbara Jordan Elementary’s educational program.
I know how important it is to offer innovative activities that allow students to bond to their school in a positive way, while challenging them to grow intellectually and socially.
My professional objective is to use my professional training and development skills, promoting positive interaction, productivity, and growth in the educational process of youth and adult learners, through various strategies.
I have a strong songwriting passion outside of the classroom. I write songs for multiple genres, and act and sing as often as I can. My wife and I have been married for twenty-six years, and are the parents of two high school sons.
