Hello, my name is Justin Verkuyl. I am honored to have the privilege to work with your student. I started at Oyster Creek Elementary in 2006. I taught fourth grade for four years, two years as a self-contained teacher and then for two years as the math and science teacher. I then moved up to fifth grade and have really enjoyed the students and curriculum. In the 2015-2016 year, I started teaching reading and social studies. Before moving to Texas, I lived in California and Colorado. While living in California I served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve, and the San Joaquin County Delta Fire Department. Currently I live with my dogs Wasabi, Twosox and Musashi. I enjoy football, hockey and barbequing. I am looking forward to a successful year with my students.
