I grew up going to Fort Bend ISD schools.  I went to Townewest Elementary, and Sugar Land Middle School, and graduated from Kempner High School. After high school, I went to Wharton County Junior College and the University of Houston.  Go Coogs!  Later, I received my Masters in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. I went on to get a Master's in Library Information Science.  This will be my 20th year teaching and my 5th year in the library.  There is nothing else I would rather be doing.  

I love teaching because I love to watch the students grow as they are learning new concepts. The “Light Bulb” moment is the best; when the students understand what is being taught and they really get it!  I am passionate about inspiring students to love books and reading! My goal is to make the library a place students want to be.

I have been married for 19 years to my wonderful and supportive husband, Scott. I have two handsome boys, Collin, who is 17, and Caden, who is 13.  We have three playful dogs at home: Godiva, Levi, and Pixie.  We love to do things as a family and getting together with good friends.
