Welcome to Pecan Grove Elementary!  Fourth grade will be such an exciting year full of new learning for your child.  I have been a teacher for 23 years.  I graduated from Texas A&M University in May of 1982, and taught for five years before staying home with my children for thirteen years. During this time, my two children attended Pecan Grove Elementary.  I returned to teaching in 2000 and began teaching fourth grade at Pecan Grove Elementary.  I taught fourth grade for eight years before leaving to teach at a private school for a couple of years.  I returned to Pecan Grove Elementary in the Fall of 2014 to teach third grade.  I was amazed how much new learning happens in third grade, having always taught fourth or fifth grade. I returned to fourth grade in 2020, which has always been where my heart is. I love teaching fourth grade! I love watching the students get excited about learning and the looks on their faces when they feel a sense of accomplishment.  I always tell my students that they become one of my own children the minute they walk into my classroom, and I truly mean it.  I care about each of my students and want the very best for them.  It's going to be a fantastic year!
