Welcome, Explorers! I love being a part of the fifth grade team at Settler’s Way Elementary. I currently teach reading, language and social studies. Although I began my college years as an LSU Tiger, I graduated as a UH Cougar with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a minor in geography. My teaching career began in Spring Branch ISD and continued four years. In 1989 I joined Fort Bend ISD where I have taught pre-K, kindergarten, third, fourth and fifth grades. My passion is American history, and I hope that each of my students would also be inspired by many stories of bravery and freedom! In addition, I hope that all of my students would become lifelong readers and learners.
I have a wonderful husband, three grown children, and seven grandchildren who keep me very busy on weekends. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, including Sparky, our new little foster dog!
Please feel free to email or call any time with concerns or questions. I am looking forward to continued success with all of my students as they go through their last year of elementary school and prepare for middle school!
