I am thrilled to be teaching Physical Education at Sugar Mill! My goal in Physical Education is for everyone to learn to make healthy choices and feel successful when participating in a variety of activities. This enables students to develop a positive attitude toward physical activity and to develop healthy habits, which will hopefully continue throughout their lives.
The main goal of Physical Education is to keep students moving and to have fun. We are constantly learning new games! The students in third-fifth grade participate in the Fitnessgram every year. The goal is to have all students score in the healthy zone. Each year we participate in the American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart Event!
Tennis shoes are recommended. Appropriate shoes must have non-marking rubber sole and cover the entire foot. When sandals, open-back shoes, high heel shoes or leather soled boots are worn to school, the student must bring appropriate shoes for Physical Education. Cleats are not allowed in Physical Education. Undergarments must not be exposed. Girls must wear shorts under dresses during Physical Education activities.
I look forward to working with you to further your child's education and future!
