Mrs. Helen Coffee

My name is Helen Coffee and I have been teaching in FortBend since 2003. I am the Theatre Arts and Speech Communications teacher. I have degrees in both Theatre Arts and Speech Communications with a concentration on Education from Texas State University and a hefty background as an acting and speech coach. I was actively involved in both areas throughout high school and in college. It is my love and passion and I hope to bring that same passion to the middle school classroom.

I am a part of a wonderful blended family. My husband Scott was my high school sweetheart. We have 3 sons between us, Sean,  Andrew,  Austin,  Anna,  and my twin girls Maria and Abigail. We have a greyhound/lab mix puppy named Penny. I guess you could call us The Brady Bunch minus Alice! I taught first grade for 10 years and then felt the pull to make the change. I couldn't be happier! I walked into a family of wonderful co-workers, new best friends, and outstanding staff and administration and super talented students! I have the most supportive parents which is so important being a parent myself. If you ever need me for anything call or email or both and I will be more than happy to have meetings, or if you want to volunteer I would love that. With such a large and popular program I can always use extra eyes and hands. I am a mom first so feel free to express any concerns or also share any wonderful news going on with the family. I look forward to many many years here at FCMS!
