Children deserve to be in an environment that is stimulating and nurturing in order to grow and mature both academically and emotionally. I believe in teaching the whole child. By building strong relationships and having meaningful experiences, children develop executive functioning and critical thinking skills that are paramount to future success. My commitment is to help children find the joy and passion in learning – to create lifelong learners. The daily discoveries students make and the connections they build aid their understanding of who they are, their own unique identity, and their purpose in life.
I graduated from the University of Houston and received my master’s in Elementary Education from Relay Graduate School of Education. I am also a mentor teacher with Rice University School Literacy and Culture. This is my 14th year in education and I am thrilled to be back teaching Pre-K at Ridgemont ELC! I believe children learn best through play, and our role as teacher is to nurture and guide their wonderment and discoveries.
