It is my great pleasure to teach the students at Blue Ridge Elementary School the tool of life... Music.

As a music educator, it is my goal to share the tool...Music which allows all of us to express life.

I look forward to getting to know you and to teach about my favorite subject...music.  In our class, we will make 

move, create and perform all genres of music. It is our desire to expose our students to a varied musical  experience

where they will grow and become asetheically aware and able to partake in this glorius art form in order to be their best selves.

A little about me...

I grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Houston after briefly teaching in Boston. I received a Bachelors of Music Education degree

from Boston University, and a Mastr's Degree in Educational Leadeship from Prairie View A & M University.

My love of musicwas cultivated as a child singing solos in my church and community as well as taking piano and voice lessons.

I continue to practice my craft  singing with the Houston Ebony Opera Company and in my church choir.

My favorite genre of music to sing African American Spirituals and art songs.

I am a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and volunteer with various civic and community organizations in the Houston area.

I am looking  forward to a great year.
