¡Bienvenidos al mundo Hispano!
“A good education is the greatest gift you can give yourself or anyone else”- Mahtab Nursimhan.
I am Diana Campos Ovalle. I was born in a town in Mexico. Place where I spent my childhood and visit every time possible. I have lived in Fort Bend for half of my life, and attended to Fort Bend ISD for my middle and high school education. I recently earned a Bachelor degree of Arts in Spanish and Education Minor degree from the University of Houston. I am also certified in Spanish EC-12.
On my free time I love spending quality time with my family. I also enjoy reading a good book with a good cup of coffee. As well as listening to music, that transmits a positive message.
My passion for education goes beyond the school environment. I am a true believer that “Education is the new revolution”. I have the mission of taking with me the value of a good education. I want to have a positive impact, and do something for the good of this society. I would not say that I want to change the world because that’s only easy to say it, but I do believe as the great Nelson Mandela once said “education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world”.
I choose to teach Spanish because is part of my identity. Spanish goes more beyond than just language and grammar. Spanish is language, culture, diversity, traditions, history and much more. I want to share the beauties of the Hispanic culture to others. As we know, the language of Spanish has an immense influence in our society. One of my goals is for students to understand the importance of diversity, so they can be tolerant and have respect for others. “Among individuals, as among nations, respect for the rights of others is peace” – Benito Juarez.
