My name is Daniel Vario and this is my fourth year at Ridge Point High School. I am from Macomb Twp., MI and I graduated in 2012 from Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids, MI, with a B.A. in Mathematics for Secondary Education. I currently hold a Texas Teacher Certification in Mathematics (grades 8-12). My teaching background is that I have taught for six years, most recently Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II in Michigan. I am extremely passionate about education and make a point to meet the needs of all types of learners.
Becoming a teacher has always been a goal of mine, ever since the 8th grade, if I had to pick a moment in time. Growing up, I was either in a classroom or on the soccer field surrounded by professional educators, working to pass on their passsion for the various contents or sports. Embracing every moment spent around my teachers and coaches, I came to a realization that I wanted to provide the same experience to future generations. I could not think of doing anything more rewarding than teaching, and will put every ounce of energy I have into what I do each and every day. Teachers are supposed to be forever learners, and following that philosophy I finished my Master's Degree at Sam Houston State University in Curriculum and Instruction in December 2017 and I am currently working on my Principal Certification at Lamar University.
I enjoy supporting all my students in extracurricular activities, from football all the way to choir and theater. I cannot wait to be embraced with the culture that Ridge Point HS provides to its students, staff, and surrounding community this year. To go along with my teaching I will be coaching JVA Boys Soccer. Let's have a great year! Go Panthers!
