Welcome to Human Services! I am honored to teach Principles of Human Services at Christa Mcauliffe Middle School again this year. For the past 11 years, I have been teaching in other school districts in the greater Houston area, but I am proud to be in Fort Bend ISD! I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Services. I also have teaching certifications in Family and Consumer Sciences 6-12, EC-4 Generalist, 4-8 Generalist, ESL (English as a Second Language), and GT (Gifted and Talented) trained. I am excited to pass this wealth of knowledge onto our students!!!
Principles of Human Services is a laboratory course that will enable students to investigate careers in the human services career cluster, including counseling and mental health, early childhood development, family and community and personal care services. Each student is expected to complete the knowledge and skills essential for success in high-skill, high-wage or high-demand human services careers. 130.242 Principles of Human Services (One High School Credit) - Available to 8th-grade students.

I look forward to working with the students in this exciting class. If a student is absent from school - makeup sessions are available and need to be scheduled within 1 week of their absence.
Requests for tutorials are scheduled according to student's needs.
