I am an EL Specialist at AFE. I have been teaching in FBISD since 1999. I started my teaching career in 1983 as a 4^th grade teacher in Ysleta ISD in El Paso, Texas. I also taught middle school science for one year but moved to California where my geologist husband was offered employment. I started teaching in Santa Ana USD after 9 months as a realtor and an additional 5^th year of study required of California teachers. I taught various grade levels in California as well as combined grade level classes. We returned to Texas after 6 ½ years in California to be closer to family, and I stayed home with my two young children for almost 2 years. In July of 1999, I became one of the Fleming Stars and hope to shine on for our younger Stars.
