My name is Rebecca Weber and I am a proud member of Sienna Crossing’s fourth grade team.   This is my 15th year teaching here at SCE, but it is my first year as Mrs. Weber.  Most kids know me as Ms. Heinly. In February last year, I got married! I am now Mrs. Weber. I have lived in Texas for about 17 years.  I am originally from south Florida, and I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida.    I continued my education at Florida Atlantic University where I completed my Master’s Degree in Education.   I began my teaching career at Tamarac Elementary School in Florida as a first grade teacher.  I taught there for six years until the year 2000 when my son Jordan was born.  At that time, I made a career move to become a Stay-at-Home Mommy.  I enjoyed that job for the next 7 years, taking care of my son Jordan (now 22) and my daughter Emma (now 19).  During that time, we made the move to Texas and built our house in Sienna Plantation.  When Emma was ready for Kindergarten, I was ready to head back into the classroom.  I was so lucky to begin the next chapter of my career at Sienna Crossing and just as lucky to have my children attend school here.   I truly believe it is the BEST school ever! My children are both FBISD graduates, and I am proud to say my son is now a graduate from the University of Texas. Emma is a sophomore this year at the University of Houston.  At SCE, I am fortunate that I am able to focus on the subjects I am most passionate about every day as a fourth grade reading, language arts, and social studies teacher.    It is such a joy to watch my students grow as readers and thinkers throughout the year.  I always tell them that the reading strategies they will learn in my class will benefit them for life.  It is amazing to watch their love for reading blossom.  There is no doubt that to provide a child with the best possible education, we must all work together as a team!  I am always available if you need me, because I know together we can successfully foster a love of learning in your child.  Thank you so much for all of your support!
