"Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be." -Rita Pierson
My name is Mrs. Kendra Hayes and this is my eleventh year as an educator. I began my career as a fourth grade teacher at Rosa Parks Elementary. I worked as an Instructional Coach at Spring Woods Middle School in Spring Branch ISD until I began teaching at Lexington Creek. I have taught 5th grade Math and Science and 4th grade ELA/Social Studies while at LCE. I am passionate about helping your child grow and prepare to move into the next chapter of their education career, middle school.
I grew up in Dallas as the oldest of three girls. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Elementary Education from Dallas Baptist University. After graduating, I decided to move to Houston to start my career in education. Two years into teaching, I decided to go back to school to work on my Master of Education in Educational Leadership through Dallas Baptist University. I am certified as an EC-4 and 4-8 Generalist and K-12 Educational Administrator.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and doing DIY projects. I love finding new ideas on Pinterest and trying them out whether they be recipes, crafts or activities for my classroom.
I am so happy to have your child in my class. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure your child's success. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please contact me by phone or email.
