My name is Ms. Brown, and this is my 32nd year teaching fifth grade at Colony Meadows Elementary. I started teaching here the first year this school was built. I've also taught fourth grade for four years in Louisiana. I come from a line of teachers. My mother and father both taught for 35 years in Louisiana. Both of my sisters are retired teachers from Louisiana.
I have an awesome reputation of building students' sense of purpose, power, and self-confidence. When teachers and parents work as a team, students can't help but succeed. I expect hard work and honesty and I give it in return. Following are some quotes that sum up my philosophy on life.
The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today. (written by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.)
No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world. (written by Robin Williams)
If you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have a moral obligation to do something about it. (written my John Lewis)
