Welcome to Ms. Battle’s Reading, Writing, & Social Studies classroom!
I am honored to be teaching 4th grade this year. It’s a wonderful blessing to get to know your children and to help in their academic growth.
About me, I have my master's degree in education. I am from Harrisburg, PA and have lived in six different states. I moved to Texas in 2013, and I am entering my 13th year of teaching.
Education should be an enjoyable process, and one way to create that enjoyment is by presenting it in a creative and interactive way, as well as connecting it to our student’s everyday lives. I love motivating students to do their best and to extend their own personal limits. Engagement is key, and it aids in growing their love for learning! My expectations of my students are high, and by the end of the school year, students realize they can achieve goals set before them as they see how they progressed throughout the year. This is a valuable lesson that they can apply to their lives beyond the classroom. Creating a classroom community where students feel accepted, respected, safe, secure, learn responsibility, and develop teamwork skills is also an important aspect to me. Overall, I look forward to continuing to work with you and your children to further your child’s education and future!
