I am from New Orleans, Louisiana. I graduated from Southern University in 1993 after attending Louisiana State University and playing basketball there. I have three sons, Marlon, Lethaniel, and LeDarius; and I have been in Texas since 2006. I have a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with a Minor in Chemistry, and I also Master of Education in Administration, School Counseling, and I am working on a third Masters in Special Education. I have been teaching for 18 years and in Fort Bend for 9 years. I am an Inclusive Support/Resource teacher here at Ferndell Henry Center for Learning. I have been at FHCL for 4 years and have also taught at Hightower High School and Elkins High Schools in FBISD. My professional philosphy is that all children are teachable and reachable in education. If we work together we can go further into the future.
As a In-class support teacher, I go into the classroom with my students and help them to be successful in their learning environment. I help the students by engaging them in their work, assessments and activities. I also help them with their assessments and reaching their goals according to their IEP. I'm assisting the students according to their IEP for frequency and duration of services given within the classroom. I also assist the general education teacher with planning and implementation of the district's curriculum and strategies.
