I attended Middle State University where I received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communications with minors in speech, theatre, and sociology. I began my teaching career while in college where I taught theatre arts and dance to inner-city kids in Nashville, Tennessee. I have been teaching for over a decade with the majority of my time spent teaching reading and writing. In 2005, I received my teaching certificate through the University of St. Thomas. My teaching certificates include Theatre Arts, 4th-8th grade English Language Arts, Special Education, and English as a Second Language. I am excited to be a graduate of the University of St. Thomas where I received a Master's of Education degree with an emphasis in school and professional counseling. I love taking Zumba classes, going on long walks, photography, and spending time with my loved ones. One of my passions is traveling and learning about new cultures. I have visited various cities in the United States as well those in Canada, Mexico, Belize, Honduras, France, and England. I am excited to be an English Language Arts Resource, Inclusion, and Co-teacher for the 2018-2019 school year.
