Coach Ferrell graduated from Kempner High School in 2002.  While at Kempner he was a 3 year letterman in football and 2 year letterman in baseball.  After high school, he attended Texas Tech University where he worked in the athletic department for four years while pursing a degree in Communications.

Travis is currently on his 9th year of teaching Math at Kempner.
