David Helmcamp

David is a native Texan, having lived in Sugar Land Texas for 30 years.  He is a proud graduate of Kempner High class of 91'.  He graduated from Sam Houston State University 1996, where he received his Bachelors of Science in Agriculture Education.

He began teaching in 1998 at L.V Hightower High School in the Fort bend Independent School District. While at Hightower, he taught Agriculture classes and chartered their first official FFA chapter. In 2003, he transitioned to Kempner High School. He currently enjoys teaching and giving back to the community and school that gave him so many challenging opportunities. David currently teaches Principles of Agriculture, Small Animal Management, Equine Science, Livestock Production, and Principles of Floral Design.
