I am a proud graduate of Saint Agnes Academy and the University of Houston. While at the University of Houston I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in biochemical/biophysical processes. Teaching was not my first career straight out of college, rather I began working as a Microbiologist for several years after graduation. Here I gained a lot of valuable hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, and got to use the Scientific Method every day. This will be my 13th year teaching here at Baines Middle School.
Outside of school, I am a busy mother of two daughters a college Sophomore and a 4th grader; along with a son who is in 8th grade. While spending time with my children is my number one passion, I also love to watch movies, learn new recipes from around the world, swim, play with my puppy, and read when I get the chance. Let me know about your favorite book or t.v. show and we may have something in common! I look forward to a wonderful school year.
" I truly love my subject, and try to reflect this enthusiasm in my teaching each and every day. I believe every aspect of life is related to science, and once students can become aware of these relationships around them, it will better enable them to be great analytical thinkers and problem solvers in the future. I look forward to a great school year!"
