Hello! Welcome to my page. My name is Megan Udall and this is my sixth year at Baines Middle School. This year I am teaching 7th and 8th grade basic math, 7th and 8th grade co-teach math, and Project Read. Prior to math, I taught three years of basic ELA, one year of inclusive support, one year of 6th grade social studies, and two years of 6th grade science. My certifications include: 4-8 Generalist, K-12 Special Education, and K-12 ESL. I am the proudest member of the Fighting Texas Aggie class of 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. In December 2014, I completed my master's degree in International Relations from St. Mary's University in San Antonio. I value educating myself just as much as my students!
In addition to education, I value traveling to foreign countries to become immersed in the culture and historical elements found in those places. After college I traveled to Oviedo, Spain as an Au Pair for a family with a small child. After Spain, I served as an Au Pair in Duesseldorf, Germany. Having been bit by the travel bug, I traveled to Europe alone the following three summers to trek across the continent. I was able to accomplish 12 countries before retiring my travels to futher my education. Other interests of mine include: baking, reading, trying new restaurants, traveling domestically, and playing tennis. I've been married for five years to Nate and we just celebrated our oldest son's, Gregory, third birthday. We welcomed our second son, Samuel, in February.
I'm excited to embark upon this new adventure with your child. I have LOTS of fun, interactive, and thought-provoking activities and projects that we will complete throughout the year. If you have questions or concerns at any point in the year, please email me at email@example.com for the quickest reply.
