When I graduated from Lamar University in 1987, my dream job was to teach Texas History. I am so excited to be living that dream at Sartartia Middle School! I taught Texas History for seventeen years in Garland ISD before moving to the Sugar Land area. In all, I have over 30 years of experience in public education. Most of that time has been spent teaching history, but I was also a technology specialist in Fort Bend ISD for 10 years. Additionally, I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas.
On a personal note, I have been married for over 30 years and have no children. Our kids are our rescued golden retrievers! We work with an organization called Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue and have fostered or adopted many goldens over the years. In my spare time, I like to cook, read, play Candy Crush, and spend time with family.
