My name is Silverio P. Romano, on 2020-2021 school year I will continue as a Fifth Grade Bilingual Teacher at Heritage Rose Elementary School, but this time as a self-contained teacher. I have been with the district since the year 2007 working initially as an ITS at Lantern Lane and Glover Elementary School. On the year 2011 I returned to the classroom as a 6th grade teacher at Ridgegate Elementary, later I continue as a 5th grade teacher when the 6th grade classes when back to middle school. Continue in this grade level until the year 2014 when I moved to Burton Elementary as a 3rd grade teacher. During the school year 2015-2016 the Bilingual Program was relocated at Heritage Rose Elementary School and I followed with other teachers and students as a Fifth Grade Bilingual Teacher.
This next school year is going to be a challenge since the current situation make it difficult to predict exactly how we will start the school year. Last school year we ended working remotely from home with an online learning model and I prefer to be prepared for all possibilities. Fortunately I well versed in technology, currently I am the school webmaster, which has been part of my instructional model since I began as a teacher during the 90's at HISD.
From my personal life I am married with two children and live in Meadows Place in the Fort Bend County. My children attended Meadows Place Elementary School and later Dulles Middle School which allow me to experience the quality of the district as a teacher and as well as a parent. Today both have finished their College education with my son completing his PhD in Physic-Chemistry and my daughter graduating as a Veterinarian at LSU
As a teacher, my main goal is to help my students to learn the skills needed to successfully progress from their current grade to the next with all required skills and abilities expected from the FBISD district and the State of Texas (TEKS).
I am very happy for the opportunity to be your child's teacher and I am looking forward to meet with their parents and be able to share common expectations and goals that will help our children to become successful learners.
