Hello Hawks! My name is Micheal Matthews and I am thrilled to teach fourth grade math and science this year! I have been educating young minds within the district for eleven years. This will be my  7th year teaching. I obtained my Sociology degree from the University of Houston with a minor in Psychology. I then took the alternative route and obtained my Teacher Certification. I am open to new ideas and willing to try whatever to assess the needs of my students. I push for open communication with parents, because I feel it is mandatory for all supporters of the student to be in the know. Since I started my career with FBISD, I have worked with the Extended Learning Program, taught third grade (All subjects) to currently teaching fourth grade Math and Science.  I enjoy working out, watching movies, playing videogames and spending time with my family. I am ecstatic to start and enjoy my new year as a Mary Holley Hawk!
