Welcome to U.S. History.  I am looking forward to working with each of you this year.  I am currently in my 33rd year of teaching.  I earned my Bachelor's degree at the University of Houston and my Master's degree at the University of Houston- Victoria. I have taught in Fort Bend ISD my entire career.  I began in 1992 at Hodges Bend Middle School.  After 6 years, I took the leap to high school and taught at Kempner High School for eight years.  When Travis opened in 2006, I joined the original Travis team!  I am the Social Studies Department Head and teach 11th grade U.S. History.  My goal in U.S. History is to give students an appreciation for the country in which we live and to recognize and celebrate the diverse backgrounds and cultures of the people who made us who we are today!
